Overrides entries in Advanced Search fields
Use words or combinations of words most likely to narrow down your search
results: names or proper nouns.
If a search does not find what you are looking for, try shorter forms of the word.
Leave out AND, AT, ON, IN, THE, OF, A etc.
Leave out non-alphanumeric characters - use spaces instead
You can use asterisk '*'
as a wildcard, replacing 0 or more characters in the word.
Leave out abbreviations: Dr.; Prof etc.
Shortened words are automatically surrounded by wildcards, so if you search
for 'Co Kerry': 'County Kerry' will also be returned.
Word forms such as '20th' and 'Twentieth' are treated as different words, so you may need to run your search using one form and then the other.

ISBN13
You can save time by only entering the last six or seven digits of the ISBN13.
This will return only a small number of records at most.
Leave out dashes and spaces when entering the ISBN13.
You not need to enter the 978 prefix.
Author
You can enter author's name as FIRSTNAME LASTNAME or LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME
Leave out titles such as Dr. or Prof.
Publisher
Only publishers with more than 15 titles in our database are listed.
You can search for smaller publishers by using the QuickSearch function.
Category
Leave Category unselected if you are unsure.
Publication Date
You can search for titles published before/during/after a specified month and year.
You can also search for titles published between two specified dates.
Year should be entered in four-digit format e.g. '2015'
Note: some records do not have a publication date, these will not be included in a date search.
